Fairbanks – Heading North
Fairbanks is the largest city in the Interior region of Alaska, and second largest in the state, after Anchorage. It is the principal city of the Fairbanks, Alaska.
According to an estimate of 2011 the population of the city was 32,036 and the Fairbanks North Star Borough had an estimated population of 99,192. Fairbanks is home to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the oldest of Alaska’s current colleges.
