Paddy Hopkirk has donated the entire final print run of his book ‘The Paddy Hopkirk Sory: A Dash of the Irish’ to the SKIDZ Charity whom he is patron for.
One signed copy of the book managed to raise £650 at an auction held at the Welsh Association of Motor Clubs annual awards dinner in Llandindod Wells. A record auction price for SKIDZ!
The generous gentleman who bought the book was Brian Dennis, who owns a garage in Hay-On-Wye and a large collection of Minis. He said, “As a Mini enthusiast and collector, I can now add Paddy’s autographed book to my collection and SKIDZ is a wonderful charity.”
“SKIDZ is a great organisation for educating young people to become hands-on vehicle technicians” said Paddy Hopkirk and we would agree as the 13-16 year olds who benefit from this charity not only gain basic skills and health and safety education but many other valuable skills that are transferable to any workplace.
Mini Sport still has several copies of this amazing, limited edition signed book. Proceeds will go to the SKIDZ charity too.
