Mini with Cooling System Problems in the Mini Sport Garage
This morning a Mini arrived at Mini Sport with a problem on the Cooling System – it wasn’t working correctly and the hoses were very hard. On closer inspection our technician quickly discovered the problem was that the hoses were full of corroded metal particles. The obvious cause for this would be that the Mini had been run without Anti-Freeze for a prolonged period of time, leading to the Engine Block corroding internally and the waste subsequently getting lodged in the Cooling System Hoses. The fact that the Block has corroded isn’t as big of a problem as it could possibly sound, although it is definitely not good news!
Our experienced Mini Sport Technician fitted new Hoses and thoroughly flushed the system before adding the correct strength Anti-Freeze and sending it on its way! This is a simple case of maintaining the car and just shows the importance of checking your fluid levels!
