Last Saturday saw the competitors of the 2016 Mini Sport Mini Cup descend upon Hellidon Lakes Golf & Spa Hotel for the annual HRCR Awards Presentation Evening, there were plenty of awards dished out and a fantastic evening was had by all!

Perhaps most notably for 2016 Mini Sport Mini Cup Champions Clive King and Anton Bird, who certainly cleared up in the awards department!

Between them, Clive and Anton took home a whole host of awards including the Mini Sport Mini Cup, Category 2 overall winner, Category 2 overall winner in the Stagemasters Championship and the Mini 50 trophy.

Congratulations to all the award winners!

Did you know, these Mini Sport Mini Cup trophies were made right here in Padiham, in our very own engineering department Motorsport Advanced Developments (MAD), and not only are they a brilliant trophy, they are also very functional iPhone 6/7 cases and stands as well.

Designed in house by our engineers, all the components of these extra special trophies were made on a Mazak milling machine, with the base of the trophy made from solid billet aluminum, which can also be used as a mobile phone desk stand, it even includes space to fit the charging lead through. The casings themselves were made in 2 parts, with both the front and back also made from solid pieces of billet aluminum. All components were then anodised in black, before being engraved and etched with the Mini Sport Mini Cup, HRCR and MAD logos.

Not only do Mini Sport make brilliant Mini Parts, we are also very innovative in other areas, as wonderfully showcased with these beautiful functional trophies.

There’s a little time for the boys to recover and dust off the Minis in time for the start of the 2017 Mini Sport Mini Cup as it kicks off on the 19th of March for the AGBO Stages in Weston Park, Shropshire.
