Mini Sport Mini Cup Report
Although it was a challenging day over on Epynt with changing weather, it was a great second round with 21 Minis competing!
1st place: Ray Cunningham and Jared Gill
2nd place: Clive King and Anton Bird
3rd place: Colin McDowell and John Heatherington
Full results of the 2nd round of the Mini Sport Mini Cup – Dixies Historic Challenge – can be found here.
Following on from a win at AGBO and a solid 2nd place at Dixies, Clive King and Anton Bird will remain at the helm of the Championship!
Great second place for Clive King and Anton Bird who remain ahead of the Championship, after winning the AGBO stages and playing their joker card!
Notable mention also for Peter Ellerby and Ben Anderson, who managed to finish 2nd in Class, despite a misfire on the first 4 stages and a loss of compression, resulting in them completing on just three cylinders!
It was also a great result for Louise Thomas and Emily Easton-Page of the Mini Girls Rally Team, completing their first round, they were thrilled with their results! Lou’s dad, Mini Sport’s very own Dave ‘Diddy’ Thomas had this to say of the girls result, “To sum up, I’m a happy dad! My daughter finished and completed the rally fantastically. The car ran faultlessly, a splash and dash as we like to say! Not to mention how great the camaraderie with all the boys has been. Really looking forward to the next round!”
